Chapter Three

I’m double-checking again around the master bedroom to make sure Derek hasn’t left any “evidence” that might get me into trouble with Mick. I close the window that I opened earlier to try to clear the earthy smell our neighbour left behind.

At the same moment I hear a car pull up outside followed by Lisa’s high voice on the drive. I hurry from the room and into the bathroom. I don’t want Mick thinking I’ve been snooping.

When I make my way downstairs I hear their laughter from the living room. I know better than to disturb them so I’m making my way to the kitchen for a nightcap to take up to the spare room when Mick calls my name.

I knock on the door to the living room and wait to be invited in. Is he going to get Lisa to put me outside the house again?

For a moment the insanity of this situation again hits me. In my wildest fantasies did I ever imagine needing to knock on doors in my own home? Waiting for some man who’s enjoying my wife’s company on the other side of the door to decide whether I can enter the room? In the end I have to knock twice before Mick yells at me to “Come in”.

“You still up then?” he asks me with a quick glance up from the armchair where he lounges. Lisa is lying barefoot and curled up at his feet. She’s watching the TV with a glass of wine beside her. I wonder whether she still has no underwear on underneath. Mick turns down the sound on the TV and turns to me as I stand in front of them.

“So,” he says, smiling broadly without showing any teeth, “Leese tells me she reckons you should be allowed out your cucky cage.” From the floor Lisa looks up and smiles warmly at him.

“Remind me again how long it’s been?” he asks, taking two attempts to tear his eyes from the boxing on TV.

“It’s been over three weeks now.” I report, sneaking a weary glance at my wife’s legs as she sits up with her back to us and moves her knees together in front of her chest.

“Hmmm” he says, making an exaggerated chin-stroking gesture as I continue to stand there feeling awkward.

“I’ve been thinking ‘bout this. Obviously the idea to start with was to keep you off her for a few days before and after she’d been with me. But things have changed now haven’t they?” I rack my brains trying to work out what he means.

“Me and Leese are seeing more of each other so if we’re gonna carry this on, you gotta learn better self-control.” Lisa shoots a concerned look at me.

“I can’t force this on you, but I gotta say I don’t see any reason you need to be goin’ near her more than once a month.”

I’m not sure how I’m supposed to respond. Is he suggesting I have another week like this before my cock gets out and I can come? I don’t think I could take it.
